The NYC Lot977/Lot121, (later classed as N-6A transfer cabooses by PC)
were originally boxcars built during 1942-46 period.
There were
146 built.
The N6A spelled the end for classic NYC wood caboose, whose number
rapidly thinned as the new N6As were delivered.
The PC N6 class was built by NYC, in what would seem to be a test program for the N6A None made it to Conrail - but are posted here for context |
