The N-7D - ex Erie/Erie Lackawanna

N-7D 21100-21146
The N-7D bay window cabooses were originally Erie Nos. C300-C350. The first in the series, No. 300, was built in June, 1952, at the Erie's Dunmore PA shops. After evaluation of the design, International Car Company built fifty more (# C301-C350).

Dimensions
39-feet 2-1/4-inches long
12-feet, 1-15/16-inches high
10-feet, 9-inches wide

By 1981, there were 44 N-7D's left on the CR roster.

Several were painted with a long Conrail logo stretching almost the entire length of their side. Nos. 21108, 21109, and 21110 are known to have this logo variation.
